Bible & Writing

Let’s find out about how we can be a “Courageous like Daniel”!

  1. Be sure you have THIS WEEK’S BOOKLET already printed and filled in from our previous lessons!  After you read about today’s character, you will fill in their booklet for today.  BE SURE TO USE COMPLETE SENTENCES, CAPITALS, AND PUNCTUATION CORRECTLY!!

  2. To begin today’s lesson, look at THIS POSTER about how you can be a “Courageous like Daniel”.  Being courageous means to be brave and not fearful of danger..

  3. Read about Daniel HERE to find out how he was COURAGEOUS! **Be sure to click through the pages by clicking on “next page” at the bottom right hand corner of the pages.  They are short!  You can do it!

  4. Now it’s time for you to think about how you can be courageous - just like Daniel was!  Think about all the things Daniel had to stand strong against.  He had to stand up against the king when he chose not to eat the King’s food, not to worship golden idols, not to worship the King and not to be afraid of the lions when he was put into the lion’s den by the king.  In all those things, Daniel stood strong and courageous in the Lord and did not fear the King and his possible punishments.  Be sure to give good reasons how you can be courageous and how Daniel was amazingly courageous when there was so much he could have been afraid of!  BE SURE TO USE COMPLETE SENTENCES, CAPITALS, AND PUNCTUATION CORRECTLY!!

Reading

We are still working on our new books to read together for the rest of this week.  These books can also count as your 30 minutes of reading if it takes you that long to actually read the books.  If your new assignment does not take you 30 minutes, be sure to read some more!  (Or if you just want to!!)

Click HERE to find out about COMMUNITIES Be sure to listen to both stories!!

(scroll down to week 1 Day 4 and click the blue words: "Take Me Here")

Be sure to listen to both stories!!  Then fill out this google form to compare and contrast the two books.

You’ll also notice that you’ll see games and puzzles you can play AFTER you read the books.  THESE DO NOT COUNT AS YOUR AS YOUR 30 MINUTES OF READING!  You are welcome to play them though after you’re done reading!

Time to Create the NEW EXHIBIT!

On pages 25 and 26, you will show what you decide to do with the new exhibit that the mayor has given to you because he’s so impressed with your work at the zoo!  Be sure to read and follow the directions carefully!  Here’s a little help for you before you start working:
