Bible & Writing

This week we will continue our Bible study about Bible Character Traits!  We will be learning about 4 more Bible characters this week and thinking about what made them so unique AND how we can be like them!

First, be sure you still have THIS WEEK’S BOOKLET so you can fill it in after our lessons each day!  After you read about today’s character, you will fill in the booklet for today.  BE SURE TO USE COMPLETE SENTENCES, CAPITALS, AND PUNCTUATION CORRECTLY!!

Cursive Practice

During this week and next, we are going to practice our cursive by writing Psalm 23.  Don’t worry! We’ll just do a few parts each day! You’ll start today HERE!  Be sure to trace the dotted lines first and then do your best cursive below it on the line underneath!

Math

Monday

  1.  Click on THIS LINK for a Google form to fill out on measurement logic!  Feel free to keep some paper and a pencil closeby so you can write or write down anything you need to help you solve the math problems! **This is for a grade!!  Do your best!!

HERE'S the link for our Zoo Project!  When you open it, choose “Make a Copy” and save it on your device as “Build a Zoo - Your Child’s Name”.  That will help your teacher when you share it with them at the end of the project.

 

Wednesday: Time to Purchase Your Zoo Animals!

After you save the file, please enter your Zookeeper’s name on page 2.  Then, browse the description of animals and notice that you have a budget of $1000! Then, on page 7, you will enter the quantity of animals you chose and the total price for each animal (use slides 5 and 6 for animal prices). For instance, if you chose 3 Hippos for $113 each that would be $339 total for the Hippos.  **Make sure you don’t go over $1,000!

Thursday: Time to Create the Zoo Grounds!

Today you will work on pages 21-24.  You will be designing the Zoo paths and animal habitats!  You will first need to measure each of the animals on pages 9-17.  *You will use the red ruler on each page! It can be moved around so you can measure the lines under each animal. Be sure to type the measurements on page 8.  Then, look at the example on page 18, watch the video explanation on page 19, and then have fun while you complete your own Zoo on page 20! Be sure to follow the directions!

Friday: Time to Create the Zookeeper’s Schedule!

Today you will work on pages 21-24.  Begin by looking closely over pages 21 and 22.  Be careful to pay attention to how often the animals need to be fed and what special responsibilities you have such as special presentations, animal clinics, etc.  Then, type out your schedule using pages 23 and 24. Be sure to include all of your animals and responsibilities!
